The two most outstanding actors of our time, namely Aoi Miyazaki, one of Japan's most famous actresses and Kengo Kora, the most prominent up and coming young star, present you the movie "solanin".
The movie is based on a comic masterpiece by popular manga artist Inio Asano, known for his clarity of image depictions and lyrical dialog. His masterpiece read across generations and gender is fi nally adapted for the silver screen. Aoi Miyazaki, playing the main role of Meiko, takes on the challenge of singing for the fi rst time in her career. The movie is directed by Takahiro Miki, a director active in music video circles.
Using the motif of a song called "solanin", the movie gives a realistic depiction of the interwoven, heartbreaking love between Meiko and Taneda, as well as those who look on and support them. This moving film about young love accurately describes how the young must fi ght between ideals and reality.
