The first Okinawa International Movie Festival, which was held in March of last year, was a splendid event, with laughter and smiling faces in abundance at every venue.

I believe that the fact that the festival proved to be such a huge success espite the fact that this was the first time that it had been staged as due to the cooperation and support of the people of Okinawa (the site of the festival), the press who attended, and everyone else who was involved.

At the first edition of the festival, I thought that both Yoshimoto Kogyo and the incredible energy inherent in laughter itself were truly dazzling. As a company involved in a particular branch of the entertainment industry, we at Kyoraku Sangyo are delighted to again be participating in the fast-approaching second edition of the festival this coming March.
